DAYTONA 200 – MOTORCYCLE RACING FOR THE NOVICE FAN

The Daytona 200 is an annual motorcycle road racing event held at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida, USA. It is one of the most prestigious and historic motorcycle races in the United States. The race is typically part of the Daytona Bike Week, a motorcycle festival that attracts enthusiasts from around the country.

The Daytona 200 is known for its long history and challenging course. The race traditionally takes place on the 3.51-mile (5.66 km) combined road course at Daytona International Speedway. The event has been held since 1937, making it one of the longest-running motorcycle races in the world.

The ‘International Horseshoe’ is the most popular fan-viewing portion of the race from Turn 1 to Turn 6.

Competitors from all over the world, 13 different countries for this year’s 82nd running with over 60 riders. The primary promoter is MotoAmerica with key sponsors from FIM North America, and the American Motorcyclist Association. Individual race sponsors are Mission Foods and BellissiMoto.

Bike Week starts this year from March 1st to March 10th. The Daytona 200 and other races are the final weekend of Bike Week, March 7,8,9.
